About Me
Hi, my name is Casey. As a therapist, I prioritize authenticity, compassion, and respect. I see my clients not as their diagnoses or specific aspects of their identities, but rather as whole individuals with rich and complex experiences. Therapy is not one-size-fits-all, and we will work together to understand how I can best support you.
I work with individuals with a wide variety of backgrounds and needs, including stress, anxiety, depression, eating concerns, body image concerns, trauma, ADHD, OCD, interpersonal challenges, and self-exploration. I am an integrative therapist trained in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), exposure therapy and ERP, and mindfulness-based approaches. At Kind Mind, I am deepening my training in comprehensive DBT — including individual DBT, skills group co-facilitation, and the full DBT framework — as part of our structured training program. I bring a systemic justice lens to all discussions of race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, weight/body size, class, ability, religion/spirituality, and other identities. I am Health at Every Size® informed.
Regardless of what’s bringing you to therapy, I am committed to approaching your needs with a foundation of curiosity, human connection, and respect for your autonomy.
I hold an M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology at Yeshiva University, where I am completing my PsyD. My clinical training includes NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and the Marymount Manhattan College Counseling & Wellness Center. I live in New York City. Queerness, Judaism, and lived experience with mental health challenges are among the identities I hold.
