About Me
Hey there. I imagine you’re reading this because you want to make a good choice about who to invest your time with in therapy. Let me help with that.
I immigrated to the United States at age 9, and growing up in NYC gave me the privilege of being welcomed into the homes of many different cultures, communities, and ways of living. That experience shaped who I am as a person and as a clinician. I believe there is a reason for everything in life, even if we don’t know it yet. My job is to help you figure out what’s driving the patterns you’re stuck in, and to give you real tools to change them.
I’m direct, engaged, and fully in the work with you. I’ll sit with your pain, cheer you on, get genuinely excited about your progress, and call things out when something isn’t serving you. My approach blends neuroscience with psychology to help you understand not just what you’re feeling, but why. I’m especially interested in separating what Western culture tells us we “should” be from what our actual neurology and lived experience tell us is true.
Who I Work With
I have experience working with a wide range of people and identities, including BIPOC individuals, members of the LGBTQ+ community, immigrants and children of immigrants, people from low-income backgrounds, individuals experiencing homelessness, professionals in high-stakes environments, and people who socialize primarily in online spaces.
In terms of what brings people to my office, I work with anxiety (social anxiety, generalized anxiety, OCD), depression, ADHD, trauma and complex PTSD, personality disorders, psychotic disorders, adjustment disorders, struggles with connection and social skills, motivation, life management, emotional pain, and sexual wellness concerns.
My Approach
I draw from a wide range of evidence-based approaches and tailor which ones we use based on what you’re dealing with and how your brain works. My training includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), EMDR, Prolonged Exposure (PE), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). That range means I’m not limited to one way of working. Some clients need structured skills for managing emotions. Others need trauma processing. Others need help untangling the relationship between their thoughts, behaviors, and the life they actually want. I meet you where you are and bring the tools that fit.
The goal is always the same: help you understand yourself, accept yourself, and build a life that actually feels like yours.
